Announcement

Shiloh Community Unit School District 1 has been discussing how to spend American Rescue Plan (ESSER III) funds at school board meetings and has surveyed parents seeking their input regarding academic recovery.

Shiloh provided summer school in the summer of 2021 and plans to offer summer school in the summer of 2022 for student academic recovery for Preschool-12th grades.

The federal government has stated that Shiloh is eligible for $920,914 from ESSER III. Twenty percent of this money or $184,182, must be spent for academic recovery. Shiloh will purchase a new bus ($70,000), smart boards ($100,000), and upgrade the WiFi ($70,000), to assist with academic recovery. Thus, more than 20% of the funds will go toward academic recovery.

The community is encouraged to submit input regarding ESSER III spending by sending emails to the superintendent at halla@shiloh1.org and/or by attending school board meetings on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.
