
Shiloh Sophomores, Phoebe Allen, Lucas Bosch and Emily Hall, attended the second part of Senator Chapin Rose’s Youth Advisory Council Thursday, April 4th. History teacher, Mr. Carroll, chose the trio to attend the council which began in December when they had their first bi-annual session. During this session students from Shiloh, along with 24 other schools, presented their previously chosen mock legislation to the group for debate and discussion. Our students have enjoyed this hands on learning experience.


Shiloh Elementary Spring Concert will be held April 17th at 1:00 in the Shiloh Gym. Students in grades Pre-K through 5th have been working hard with Mrs. Nickell and Ms. Krapf for the last several weeks and they are ready to show off their musical talents!


Shiloh Junior High Sports Awards is tonight at 6:30 in the gymnasium.

The HS baseball game scheduled for today, April 12th, will be played against Heritage at Broadlands.

Jonah Fish Fry - Friday. Junior Class Fish Fry is Friday April 12 from 4-7 @ school. Dine in or Take Out.

High School students visited a Career Fair at Chrisman High School recently. They were able to meet with representatives from several different companies and fields to learn about possible career paths.

Last week, 8th graders attended a career fair at Lakeland College. There were several booths set up with representatives from local businesses ready to talk with students about the aspects of their careers. (What was happening between Mrs. Pierce and the fruit is still a mystery!)

[Place Based Education] ... Third Grade's participating in the Farm-2-Table program and learning about Bee-Well. Edgar County Master Gardener's are getting set up the new Junior Master Gardner certification. Shiloh sits in a USDA "food desert."




In honor of Earth Day, join our community work day on April 22nd and help us spruce up Shiloh!


Pre-K and PIP teachers hosted an Easter Egg hunt last weekend and the kids loved it!

Shiloh JH Sports Awards will be held on April 16th at 6:30 in the Shiloh gym.


The HS Softball game scheduled for today April 9th, against Blue Ridge has been cancelled. There will be practice at Kansas 4-6pm.

Shiloh is turning 50!!! Calling all graduates from the last 50 years as well as staff, past and present, to join in our celebration! See below for event flyer and T-shirt order form. T-shirt orders are due by April 16 in order to pick up before or at the Open House!



The last monthly dress-up days for Junior High are coming up. Wednesday, April 10 is National Siblings Day (find a twin at school & dress alike). Friday, May 3 is National Two Different Colored Shoes Day.


On April 5 the 7th & 8th graders shared projects based on the fictional book each chose to read in Literature. Their presentations included summaries, theme analysis, and plot charts.



HS Softball game against Hutsonville scheduled for April 5th has been cancelled. There is no practice after school.

The Jr High Track meet that was scheduled at Arcola for today, Thursday April 4th, has been canceled due to the forecast for this afternoon. There will not be practice today.
