Don't Forget about those sports physicals!
The Douglas County Health Department will again hold physical clinics at Shiloh this summer. There are two dates: June 27th and August 8th. Both clinics will be held from 9 to 4:30. This is a great opportunity to fulfill school physical requirements for students in first-year Preschool, Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th grades. The clinic is also offering sports physicals.
School and sports physicals will have a nominal fee of $5 for sports physicals and $10 for school physicals. If parents/guardians would prefer DCHC to bill insurance, we can bill commercial insurance plans and all Illinois Medicaid plans. Vaccines for commercially insured, Medicaid-insured, and uninsured students will be provided as available at the events. Use this link to sign up today!

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of two cherished retirees from the Shiloh School District, Mr. Glen and Mrs. Pine.
Mr. Glen ensured a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. His warm smile and helpful nature made an impression on everyone he met.
Mrs. Pine was a pillar of support for both teachers and students. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication helped countless students thrive and feel valued.
Their contributions to the Shiloh School District were immeasurable, and their presence will be missed. Our thoughts are with their families during this time.

Raiders on the move

Partnership in Parenting kicked off their June group at the Newman Regional Library. PIP is partnering with the library for the Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is "Read, Renew, Repeat." The featured book was "Our Environment" by Little Hippos Books.
Following the focus of the story, the PIP-Squeaks learned about the ocean, the desert, the mountains, the tundra, and the rain forest. Because the book included sensory pictures, the craft included sensory art, too. The children added blue fingerprints to their whales, sandpaper to their camels, cotton balls to their arctic foxes, and yarn for their tigers' stripes.
Before heading out the door, each child received a copy of the book and a snack. The next group will be Wednesday, July 10, also at the Newman library, at 9:30.
