Several cases of Influenza A are still being reported at Shiloh. Be aware that a “bad cough” or cold symptoms can indicate a severe cold, bronchitis, Covid, influenza or even pneumonia. If your child is not acting “right," has difficulty breathing, or is becoming dehydrated, it could be serious.
Fever is also an important symptom; when it occurs along with a sore throat, an earache, nausea, listlessness or a rash, your child may be carrying something very contagious. KEEP YOUR CHILD AT HOME FOR THE COURSE OF A FEVER AND FOR AN ADDITIONAL 48 HOURS AFTER THE FEVER HAS PASSED.

There will be an open house on Monday, April 4, 2022 to meet the new Shiloh School Superintendent, Bill Myers. The open house will be from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. in the board room at the school.
The public is invited to meet Mr. Myers.
Mr. Myers is presently a principal at Beardstown, IL.

There is NO early dismissal on Thursday, March 24th. The tentative district calendar did show an early dismissal, but that has been changed and the March calendar shows the correct information. Dismissal tomorrow will be at the normal time of 3:05. There will be Elementary Foreign Language Enrichment classes for participating students tomorrow. Parents of these students, please check your Teacherease email for an updated schedule. There will be 3 more classes including tomorrow.

Reminder, there is no school this Friday, March 11th, for a School Improvement Day. Again, no student attendance this Friday, March 11th.
Parents of Bus Riders,
This is a reminder that, for the safety of our youngest students, our bus drivers will not drop off students in Preschool through 3rd grade unless they can see an adult waiting for them.
Please be sure to watch for the bus in the afternoon and stand outside your door if the bus brings your student home, or outside your car at the bus stop, so the driver is sure to see you.

Parents of Elementary Foreign Language Enrichment students:
We are adding two make-up class dates to our Foreign Language Enrichment classes in the month of March. Since we had to cancel some of our classes due to weather in February, the Eastern student teachers agreed to make up 2 classes after their Spring Break.
The new class schedule for March is:
March 10th--regular class from 3:05 to 4 pm
March 24th--regular class from 3:05 to 4 pm
March 31st--last class from 3:05 to 3:30 pm Celebration in the Multi-Purpose Room from 3:30 to 4 pm. Families are welcome to attend. Doors will open to families at 3:30.
We hope your student will be able to attend the additional classes and we hope to see you for the Celebration on the 31st. Please let us know if they will not be able to attend so we are sure they go home on those days instead of staying for classes.
