Don't forget that Remote Learning days are still regular school days. Here are some reminders for participating in required Google Meets.
Parents:
Next week there will be 3 days of E-Learning. Monday, November 2nd, Wednesday, November 4th, and Thursday, November 5th.
Students in Kindergarten through 12th grades will need to be checked into Teacherease for attendance on these 3 E-Learning days.
Students may check themselves in by logging into Teacherease and checking present when the attendance box pops up. Parents may also mark students present by logging into their parent account. Teacherease has updated their app and parents report it is working great for attendance. If you have not updated your Teacherease app in the last 3 weeks, uninstall the current app, and go to your app store to install the latest version.
Students who are not E-Learning because of illness, etc., need to be called into the student offices to avoid an unexcused absence.
***TCT HS Football Practice Canceled Tonight (11/29)***
Coach Anderson has canceled HS Football practice for this afternoon due to weather. Practice for Friday evening (6-8 pm) is still scheduled.
Reminder: Picture Retakes are tomorrow morning Thursday October 29th.

Student Council and Yearbook invite you to participate in dress-up days and activities.
Wednesday: receive candy for dressing like a farmer, gardener, or truck driver; guess the number of candy corn
Thursday: dress in a Halloween or fall shirt and/or COVID mask; participate in a pumpkin scavenger hunt
Friday: dress-up contests

The HS Boys Basketball Contact Practice scheduled for 10/27 & 10/29 has been canceled. Regular season practice will begin 11/16 at Shiloh 4-5:50pm.

Shiloh COVID-19 Update: The Shiloh CUSD #1 school district had one high school student test positive for COVID-19 today after being sent home. We are currently working closely with the Health Department to determine our next steps and assist with contact tracing. You will be contacted if your student has had direct contact and should be quarantined.
Junior High Parents, check behavior logs in TeacherEase (it's under "Miscellaneous"). Every JH student has at least 1 positive behavior log for the 1st Quarter. Many of the high school students do, too.

Remote Learners:
Please have your student at school at 8:30am. They will have their picture taken during retakes and then exit the building directly after. Parents will park out back on the west side of building and wait in car for their student. Your student must wear a mask and be temperature checked at the back door. Please do not send your student if he/she has any COVID symptoms.

Shiloh NHS Induction Ceremony will be held at 10:30 am today, October 22nd. Since parents will not be able to attend we will be streaming to our Facebook page through Facebook Live barring any issues. Streaming will begin at approximately 10:30 am. Congratulations to our inductees. We will be posting pictures of our new members as well.
This is the first week of the 2nd quarter. 8th graders, here are 2 big reasons you'll want to pass ALL of your classes and be on your best behavior all year.

Shiloh Junior High is ready to show a little spirit!
From October 19-30, the junior high will have dress up days for spirit week. All days must follow dress code and not be disruptive/distracting.
Each morning there'll be a participation count to see which class has the most spirit. REMOTE LEARNERS: Join us (virtually) and help your class earn the traveling trophy for the day by sending a selfie showing that you're participating to burchj@shiloh1.org.

Shiloh CUSD #1 COVID-19 Update:
This week there was one district student who tested positive for COVID-19. The student presented symptoms and was tested over the long holiday weekend and has been quarantining at home this week. The Health Department did not find that additional students and staff needed to be quarantined due to lack of exposure since school was not in session. We wish our student a speedy recovery and, as always, thank our staff, parents and administration for going above and beyond to keep our school safe and healthy.
