Partnership in Parenting families gathered for their March group connection to make Easter egg paintings and build excitement for the upcoming total solar eclipse.
Circle time included a reading of "Happy Easter, Mouse!" by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond. It was fun to count eggs and learn about colors, but it was most exciting to find out who was leaving all the eggs. After catching glimpses of long ears, big feet and a puffy tail throughout the story, we learned who was in Mouse's house!
PIP-Squeaks practiced small muscle skills by rolling paint-covered marbles around an egg cutout. They also created their own solar eclipse to help their families learn about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and how to view it safely.
Before heading home, each child chose an Easter, spring or planet board book to take home.
The next group connection will be April 17 at 9:30 AM.
