Our elementary Wax Museum was a labor of love for over a month and a half! Each student chose their historical figure independently and put their hearts into researching, creating, and presenting their projects.
Throughout this journey, our students learned valuable lessons about using reliable sources, internet responsibility, and mastering Google search engine techniques – for many, it was their first time navigating such resources!

There will be a meeting Wednesday May 8th at 7:00 at Shiloh for any boys interested in playing High School Basketball next year.

Mr. Allen’s 8th grade social studies class participated in Shiloh’s annual 8th grade trip to Springfield, Illinois.
They started the day with a tour of the Illinois State Capitol, where they were able to see the Chambers of the Illinois House of Representatives, learn the history of the Rotunda, and walk down the largest grand staircase in the country.
After visiting the Capitol building, the 8th grade students walked to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library where they competed in a scavenger hunt to find the most information about Lincoln using only the many exhibits in the museum.
They grabbed a quick bite to eat before making their way to Lincoln’s Tomb where they observed a moment of silence at Abraham Lincoln’s resting place and rubbed Lincoln's nose for good luck!
The last stop before leaving Springfield was a visit to the Illinois War Memorials, where they read and reflected on the names of fallen soldiers from World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Korean War.
Our students were complimented several times in different locations about how respectful they acted and how nicely they were dressed. They represented Shiloh extremely well and their sponsors, Mrs. Mixson and Mr. Allen, couldn’t be prouder!

Today, we acknowledge and appreciate our Ms. Jones and Mrs. Wilhoit for their dedication and leadership on National Principal's Day. Their commitment to our school community is valued and makes an impact every day
